Except that even 1.75% Booklet A continues to perform well against other liquid investments.

On paper, some passbooks certainly have higher rates. RCI Bank (banking subsidiary of Renault), for example, promises of 5.5% for 4 months. But after this promotional period, the yield fell to 2.30%.

What it costs to bring a demigod in Paris

Freezing the property market luxury confirms Paris – best cordless drills 2013

The real estate market of luxury landed in Paris in 2012. At the high end, for goods worth more than two million, the number of transactions fell 42%, according to a study published Jan. 15 in the Barnes group containing the data of Parisian notaries. Prices declined, but to a lesser extent, from 10 to 15%.

CAUTION FOR 2013

For 2013, the British band is cautious: “The market is likely to remain hesitant in Q1 2013 with a low level of transactions, but gradually resume with a slow price adjustment.”

For others, this scenario is still too optimistic. “The vendors have not understood that they must drop sharply their claims, even though prices have already dropped by more than 10% on average in Paris,” said Philippe Chevalier, CEO Emile Garcin, the One of the main competitors Barnes on the Paris market. It explains the scarcity of foreign buyers by increasing the tax pressure on real estate.

The Government will reform the insurance against unpaid rent

images_270

To encourage owners to rent their units to smaller, the government plans to overhaul the guaranteed rental risks. The housing minister, C??cile Duflot, confirmed Monday, January 28, she was working on a “universal solidarity” guarantee. This should be part of the bill the Housing and Urban Development to be presented by the summer.

This device is intended to encourage owners to rent their vacant property. “There are more than 2.5 million homes that are vacant, in part because some owners are fearful of being in difficult situations,” said Ms. Duflot on RTL.

According to Le Journal du dimanche 27 January, three tracks are being considered to improve the functioning of the unpaid rent insurance guaranteed by the State. The idea is that such a guarantee (already proposed by some insurers) covers a maximum of donors, and it is paid by the latter, and not the tenants.

THREE TRACKS to STUDY

One possibility would be to make this compulsory insurance for landlords, but the device could be legally complex to implement. A second option would be to require insurers to market this product, what they are doing too little. Finally, a third runway would implement a 2% levy on all rents, fa? We supplying a national insurance fund.

Reform is more urgent than the current device does not meet expectations. In three years, only 330,000 landlords have endorsed the current “guaranteed rental risks”, far from the goal of 600,000 set by the previous government.
